The Victorian Alliance Tour, Part I

Last Sunday I attended the San Francisco Victorian Alliance's house tour in the Mission in San Francisco.  We got to tour the insides of seven houses on Liberty Hill and South Van Ness, houses I have never seen before and certainly never expected to be able to get inside.  It was an amazng experience of architecture, history and beauty.

I was unfortunately not allowed to take any pictures insidfe the house, but the outsides provided plenty of memories.

This first scrapped page is of 989 South Van Ness.  The sketch is from the inside of the program.  There is so much that can be said about this beautiful 1881 Italianate house with wrought iron, Corinthian columns and gorgeous angel bay windows on the front and sides.  The architectural detailing and coloring were just breathtaking, especially against a perfectly blue October sky.

I made the page for the October copycat challenge at Oscraps, using products from Anna Aspnes ArtPlay palettes.
