June in Verona

I am starting to visualize the epic photobook that will depict the Europe 2011 vacation.  It will start with an overview chapter that shows the highlights as captured in the Photos of the Day, then be followed by detailed chapters for each of the locations, with as many pages as it takes to capture it all.

For now, working on these Photos of the Day is just thrilling, for these were the photos I loved the most, the ones that told some important element of the story of the day.

In Verona, it was the beauty of the city with its juxtaposition of the ancient, the medieval and the modern, straddling the river and reaching for the sky in the town on Piazza Erbe, the fun of watching the pilgrimage to Juliet's courtyard, the refreshing spritzes sipped on Piazza Bra while watching the entire town parade by.  Oh wait, that's almost the entire story of Verona!
