Yesterday's hike through the mountains near Kirkwood were all about blue and yellow. The sky there is bluer than any sky I have ever seen, except possibly at Yosemite just a little ways to the south. And the leaves of the quaking aspens, while not yet quite in all their autumnal glory, were decidedly yellow.
