Cold Tuesday

Here's something I don't see every day. In fact, we don't even get to see this once a year. See the grayish tops of the hills in the distance, and the white spots? That's SNOW! In the Cupertino hills!
Yeah, we see snow on Mt Hamilton most years, but snow in the Western hills, at like 400, 500 ft! Phew, it's cold out there today!

There is even a threat of frost tonight, and so I had to bring my precious plumeria inside. I grew her from a little stick in a package at Hilo Hattie's, and here she is, nearly 8 years later, blooming and ...taking over the kitchen :-)

Thanks to Hawaii for sharing some tropical splendor!

  1. Diane, where do you live? We haven't had any snow yet in Northern VA, although we had a lot of rain this week that came when the temps were in the 30's, so we are getting close to having a decent storm.
