Un Village Fleuri

We have a new favorite place. The village of Megeve in the French Alps. It is a designated 'Village Fleuri', or 'Flowering Village'. This is the view from the end of the path leading from where we are staying down to the village.

The architecture is distinctly Swiss in this Haute Savoie region close to Switzerland. Chalets dripping with geraniums abound!

There is obviously much pride in the appearance of the village.

The streams which start at the top of the mountains and run through the village are quite full even this late in the season.

The Aallard flagship store dominates the main square, beautifully.
