Yukata By Numbers

Yukata is 100% cotton Japanese fabric used to make summer kimono. It is beautiful, somewhat difficult to find, and I love to work with it in my quilt art.

This is a quilt top made to test the concept of a quilt pattern called 'Yukata By Numbers". The idea is to leave 1 piece whole, split some into 2 pieces, some into 3 pieces, and others into 4 and 5 blocks. The blocks, arrangement, splits are all different, but all follow the formula.

It's a way to make a very artistic looking quilt by following the numbers!
