Another ACEO Doodle

The first two ACEO doodles I made were a bit preplanned, in that I knew pretty much what I was going to do when I sat down to the sewing machine.

Not so with my latest!
I started with a fabric called 'mirror ball dot', and I started by randomly connecting the dots. Then I started adding curvy shapes around the dots, then some escaping curlies.. oh, looks like a butterfly, let's keep doing that.

Lo and behold, a true thread doodle!

The scanner totally flattened the colors in the thread,
so here's another camera shot that better shows the pretty variations in the thread colors - pink, turquoise and gold:
